We’ve been hearing this term tossed around a lot in the hip-hop world. I decided to investigate this subject matter further and write on it.
The Illuminati society is believed to have begun under Jesuit priests and later evolved into a council of five men, which later became known as the “The Ancient and Illuminated Seers of Bavaria.” The membership of this society was comprised of Luciferian Freemasons who were skilled in eastern mental disciplines, all with the goal of harnessing the full potential of the human mind. The Luciferian theory subscribed to by the freemasons was authored by Weishaupt, a Jesuit-trained professor of Canon Law, who later defected from the Catholic Church for monetary gain. The pentagram and the infamous skulls and cross-bones are the symbols associated with the Illuminati. The whole concept of the Illuminati is viewed by many as a conspiracy theory.
The Illuminati, widely viewed as a conspiracy theory, states that there is a global elite society that is either in control of the world, or is plotting to take over the world. The methodology for taking over the world consists of: pushing a one-world religious ethic, centralized control of the world’s economic systems and global dominance. By brainwashing the masses, and the creation and resolution of global crises, their ambitious goal of global dominance can be achieved. The Illuminati is believed to be in control of the world’s financial systems, and is responsible for creating and controlling the global economy (inflation, depression, recession, etc). The social conditions of the world are believed to be the work of the Illuminati, as the group desires to pit groups of people against each other, in an effort to further push the believed necessity of one-world governance. In short, chaos in the financial, social, political, and religious institutions of society are carefully constructed by members of this secretive society whose primary goal is to achieve the New World Order.
The Illuminati supposedly represents the perfect marriage of wealth and power. The plan was carefully outlined by Weishaupt. The main tenets are: monetary and sexual bribery to control men of power, gather elite and gifted students from universities for advanced training in international studies, install influential people as advisers to major organizations to be catalysts of demise of governments and religious entities served, and absolute control of the media to “suggest” to masses a need for a one-world government.
