A recent study showed that nearly one half of all sodas poured from fountains in the Roanoke, VA area have tested positive for coliform bacteria. This is an indicator of fecal contamination. Eleven percent of the beverages tested positive for E.coli. The findings are a result of unhygienic handling by those responsible for upkeep of the fountains.
I can’t imagine what they’d find if they did similar testing in my area.
