20/20 is known for their exceptional interviews. I just can’t get this particular portion of a recent interview from the show out of my head. Anything that I view to be a science is something that can be reliably proven over and over again. This particular section touches on a medical examiner who managed to make science subjective. The testimonies of this medical examiner were used on countless cases to convict people, some of which are currently on death row. The excerpt pointed out how there is a growing trend where the medical examiners work closely with the prosecution to secure convictions.
I wonder how closely the medical examiners are being watched and how common it is for an incompetent one to continue providing such services.
